William Moulton Marston (1893-1947) was an American psychologist and writer. He devised the systolic blood pressure test that became one component of the polygraph, and formulated the DISC theory of behaviour. Under the pen name Charles Moulton he created Wonder Woman, who first appeared in All Star Comics #8 in December 1941, and wrote her adventures until his death. The collections DC Comics publishes today reprint those founding stories.
