Veronica Henry is a British novelist and screenwriter, born in 1963. She read Latin at the University of Bristol, then joined the BBC, where she worked on the radio serial The Archers, before writing for television series including Heartbeat, Doctors and Holby City. Her first novel appeared in 2000, followed by more than twenty others — warm comedies set in the English countryside and along its coast. A Night on the Orient Express won the Romantic Novel of the Year award in 2014, and How to Find Love in a Bookshop brought her readers abroad. She lives in North Devon.
