Thomas Sandoz

Thomas Sandoz is a Swiss writer, born on 25 April 1967. A doctor of psychology and an epistemologist, he divides his work between fiction, essays and cultural mediation. "La Fanée" (G d'encre, 2008) won him the Gasser Prize in 2008 and the Auguste Bachelin Prize in 2009, and "Même en terre" (Éditions d'autre part, 2010; Grasset, 2012) the Swiss Schiller Foundation Prize in 2011. His later novels appeared with Grasset: "Les Temps ébréchés" (2013), "Malenfance" (2014), "Croix de bois, croix de fer" (2016) and "La balade des perdus" (2018). His essays, published by Seuil and Presses universitaires de France, include "La vraie nature de l'homéopathie" (2001) and "Histoires parallèles de la médecine" (2005), a survey of alternative medicines from Bach flowers to osteopathy. He has also written monographs on the singer Allain Leprest and on the television series "Derrick". Two of his novels have been translated into German by Yves Raeber for Verlag Die Brotsuppe.
