Thea Guanzon is a Filipino romantasy author writing in English. She made her name with “The Hurricane Wars” (Harper Voyager, 2023), the first book of a romantic fantasy trilogy drawing on Southeast Asian settings, in which two heirs of warring sides are bound together by magic; it became a New York Times bestseller. “A Monsoon Rising” (2024) and “This Shattered Tempest” (2026), which concludes the trilogy, followed. Her books have been translated into some fifteen languages.
