Scott Lobdell (born 1960) is an American comic book writer and screenwriter. He was one of Marvel's central X-Men writers of the 1990s, with a long run on Uncanny X-Men (#286-349) and work on X-Men, X-Factor and Excalibur, and he wrote the first 28 issues of Generation X. In 2011 he moved to the centre of DC's New 52 relaunch, launching Red Hood and the Outlaws and writing Teen Titans and Superman; DC collected his Red Hood run in an omnibus in 2018. Outside comics, he wrote the screenplay of the Blumhouse slasher film Happy Death Day, released in 2017.
