Pierre Wazem is a Swiss comics author, born on 16 July 1970 in Geneva. He trained at the Geneva School of Decorative Arts from 1988 to 1992 and won the Töpffer Prize in 1998 for Bretagne. He later took over Hugo Pratt's Les Scorpions du désert, work that earned him the International Prize of the City of Geneva in 2005. With artist Frederik Peeters he wrote Koma, a six-volume series published by Les Humanoïdes Associés between 2003 and 2008 and translated into several languages, English included. He also works regularly with Tom Tirabosco, notably on La Fin du monde, awarded the Ecumenical Jury Prize at the Angoulême festival in 2009.
