Pedro Lenz, born on 8 March 1965 in Langenthal, is a Swiss writer who works in Bernese Swiss German. He studied Spanish literature at the University of Bern and has written full time since 2001; a poet, columnist and spoken-word performer, he lives in Olten. His novel Der Goalie bin ig (Der gesunde Menschenversand, 2010) made his name: Sabine Boss filmed it in 2014, and it has been translated about ten times — into Scots by Donal McLaughlin as Naw Much of a Talker (Freight Books, 2013), and into French as Faut quitter Schummertal! (Éditions d'en bas, 2014). He also publishes collections of his dialect columns with the Cosmos press in Muri bei Bern.
