
Born on 11 June 1980 in Toulouse, Paul Cauuet is a French comics artist and writer. He studied applied arts at the University of Toulouse Le Mirail, where he met the writer Guillaume Clavery; together they produced the four-volume heroic fantasy series “Aster” for Delcourt from 2003. In 2010 he began working with Wilfrid Lupano on “L'Honneur des Tzarom” (Delcourt), and in 2014 the pair launched “Les Vieux Fourneaux” (Dargaud), a comedy about three septuagenarians which won the audience prize at the Angoulême festival in 2015 and was twice adapted for the screen; it appears in English from Ablaze as “The Old Geezers”. He also draws “Le Loup en slip” with Mayana Itoïz, and works from La Mine, a collective studio in Toulouse.
