Michael Turner (21 April 1971 - 27 June 2008) was an American comic book artist. Spotted by Marc Silvestri at a convention, he joined Top Cow Productions, where he co-created Witchblade and, in 1998, launched his own title Fathom. He left Top Cow in 2002 to found Aspen MLT in Santa Monica, publishing Fathom, Soulfire and Ekos, and drew covers for DC Comics and Marvel. Diagnosed with chondrosarcoma in 2000, he underwent surgery and radiotherapy and went on working until his death from complications of the disease at the age of thirty-seven.
