Maxim Jakubowski

Maxim Jakubowski is an English writer, editor and anthologist, born in London in 1944 to Russian-British and Polish parents and raised in France. After years in publishing at Virgin, Penguin and the Hearst Group, he opened Murder One, Britain's first bookshop devoted to crime and mystery, and ran it for more than twenty years until 2009. He has edited scores of anthologies of crime, science fiction and erotica, and written novels in all three. A past chair of the Crime Writers' Association and of the Arthur C. Clarke Award, he received the CWA Red Herring Award for lifetime achievement in 2019.
