Matt Haig (born 1975 in Sheffield) is an English novelist and non-fiction writer whose books have been translated into more than fifty languages. His novels include The Humans, How to Stop Time, The Radleys, The Midnight Library — a global bestseller that has sold more than ten million copies — The Life Impossible, and The Midnight Train (Canongate and Viking, May 2026), the second book of The Midnight World. His memoir Reasons to Stay Alive, drawn from his own experience of depression, was a number-one UK bestseller. He also writes for children, including A Boy Called Christmas.
