Born in Yorkshire and now living in Auckland, New Zealand, Louisa George trained as a nurse after a degree in communication studies, and married a doctor — the two lives behind the medical romances that make up most of her work, alongside contemporary romance and women's fiction. Published by Harlequin and translated into twelve languages, she has been a RITA Award finalist, won the New Zealand Koru Award in 2014 and 2016, and took the 2017 HOLT Medallion for Something Borrowed.
