Liz Moore (born 1983 in Framingham, Massachusetts) is an American novelist. A graduate of Barnard College with an MFA from Hunter College, she made her debut with The Words of Every Song (2007), followed by Heft (2012) and The Unseen World (2016). Her breakthrough came with Long Bright River (2020), a literary thriller set amid Philadelphia's opioid crisis, adapted as a television series. The God of the Woods (2024), her fifth novel, was a major bestseller. She lives in Philadelphia and teaches creative writing.
