Ken Sharp is an American music journalist and author based in Los Angeles. He writes for national music magazines, works on music documentaries and has written liner notes for reissues by Elvis Presley, Janis Joplin and Santana. His books include Nothin' to Lose: The Making of KISS (1972-1975), an oral history built from original interviews and co-credited to Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley, which reached the New York Times bestseller list; Starting Over: The Making of John Lennon and Yoko Ono's Double Fantasy; Sound Explosion: Inside L.A.'s Studio Factory with the Wrecking Crew; and KISS Destroyer: The Definitive Visual History.
