Kazuo Ishiguro

Kazuo Ishiguro is a British novelist, born on 8 November 1954 in Nagasaki, Japan; his family moved to England in 1960, when he was five. He won the Booker Prize in 1989 for The Remains of the Day and the Nobel Prize in Literature in 2017. His eight novels include A Pale View of Hills (1982), An Artist of the Floating World (1986), The Unconsoled (1995), When We Were Orphans (2000), Never Let Me Go (2005), The Buried Giant (2015) and Klara and the Sun (2021); he has also published short fiction and written for the screen. His books are published in the United Kingdom by Faber & Faber.
