John Barber is an American comics writer and editor. He worked at Marvel Comics, on the X-Men and Wolverine lines, before joining IDW Publishing, where he was senior editor from 2011 and later editor-in-chief, in charge of the company's Hasbro licences. As a writer he has scripted much of IDW's Transformers line, including Optimus Prime, and steered Revolution, the 2016 crossover that brought Transformers, G.I. Joe, Micronauts, ROM and Action Man into a single continuity. He has also written Star Wars Adventures and, with Bob Gale, IDW's Back to the Future comics.
