Jennifer L. Armentrout, born in 1980, is an American novelist of young adult and adult fantasy, paranormal fiction and romance, who also writes contemporary romance under the pen name J. Lynn. She came to prominence with the Covenant series (Spencer Hill Press, 2011-2013) and the Lux series (Entangled, 2011-2015), then reached a far wider readership with the Blood and Ash saga and its companion cycle Flesh and Fire, published by HarperCollins from 2020. She won the RITA Award for young adult romance in 2017 for The Problem with Forever, and her titles appear regularly on the New York Times and USA Today bestseller lists.
