Jen Van Meter is an American comic book writer, born in Fresno, California. A graduate of Vassar College with a master's degree in folklore and literature from the University of Oregon, she began writing comics in 1997; her first published story appeared in the 1998 Dark Horse Presents annual. She is best known for Hopeless Savages at Oni Press, nominated for an Eisner Award in 2002, and has also written for DC, Marvel and Valiant. She lives in Portland, Oregon.
