Javier Rodríguez is a Spanish comics artist, born in Oviedo in 1972. He co-founded a comics fanzine while studying fine arts there, drew for the underground magazine El Víbora and made independent graphic novels before entering the American market in 2003 as a colourist, starting with Batgirl: Year One for DC. He coloured Daredevil, The Amazing Spider-Man and Doctor Strange for Marvel before taking on complete art duties — pencils, inks and colour — on Spider-Woman, on History of the Marvel Universe with Mark Waid, and on the Defenders books written by Al Ewing.
