
Jim Loehr, who also publishes as James E. Loehr, is an American performance psychologist. He holds a doctorate in psychology and co-founded the Human Performance Institute in Orlando, later acquired by Johnson & Johnson, where he was chairman and chief executive. Over four decades he has worked with world-ranked athletes, FBI hostage rescue teams, military special forces and Fortune 500 executives, and is known for the corporate athlete idea: applying the training principles of elite sport to sustained performance at work. He has written some eighteen books, among them Mentally Tough, The Power of Full Engagement with Tony Schwartz, The Power of Story and The Only Way to Win.
