James C. Sturm

American electrical engineer. He is the Stephen R. Forrest Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Princeton University, where he was the founding director of the Princeton Institute for the Science and Technology of Materials from 2003 to 2015. A Princeton graduate who began his career designing microprocessors at Intel, he took his doctorate at Stanford in 1985. His research covers silicon devices and large-area electronics, from solar cells and flexible sensors to applications of nanotechnology in biology and medicine.
