Inio Asano

Inio Asano (born 22 September 1980 in Ishioka, Ibaraki) is a Japanese manga artist whose work centres on the everyday lives of young people in contemporary Japan. He became widely known with Solanin (2005-2006), adapted into a live-action film in 2010, and followed it with Goodnight Punpun (2007-2013), A Girl on the Shore (2009-2013) and Dead Dead Demon's Dededede Destruction (2014-2022), itself adapted into two animated films in 2024. His earlier work includes What a Wonderful World!, and he is currently serialising Mujina into the Deep.
