Hunter Allen is an American cycling coach and a former professional racer with the Navigators team. He founded Peaks Coaching Group in 1996 and co-founded the WKO training-analysis software now published by TrainingPeaks. With Andrew Coggan and Stephen McGregor he wrote Training and Racing with a Power Meter (VeloPress), the reference work on power-based training, and with Stephen Cheung he wrote Cutting-Edge Cycling (Human Kinetics, 2012); both have been translated into Spanish and German. A USA Cycling elite-level coach, he developed the federation's power certification course and was technical coach of the United States BMX team at the 2008 Olympics. He lives in Bedford, Virginia.
