Françoise Bourdin

Françoise Bourdin was a French novelist, born in Paris in 1952 and died in Normandy in December 2022. She published her first novel, “Les Soleils mouillés”, at nineteen, in 1972, and joined Éditions Belfond in 1994, where most of her work appeared — more than fifty novels, among them “Les Vendanges de juillet” (1994), “L'Inconnue de Peyrolles” (2006), “Le Testament d'Ariane” (2011) and “Un si bel horizon” (2022). Her family sagas, usually set in Normandy or south-western France, were among the best-selling French fiction of their time and were repeatedly adapted for television.
