Fiona Lowe is an Australian novelist. She spent her early childhood in Papua New Guinea and worked as a midwife, a sexual health counsellor and a family support worker before writing her first novel; those professions run through her books, which are set in small country towns and turn on families, secrets and the choices they force. She began with medical romances for Mills & Boon and Harlequin, many of them since reissued in the omnibus volumes that make up much of this catalogue, and later moved to women's fiction. She has won the American RITA award and the Australian RuBY award.
