Erin Doom

Erin Doom is the pen name of an Italian novelist from Emilia-Romagna, a law graduate who began posting fiction on Wattpad in 2017 under the handle DreamsEater. She self-published "Fabbricante di lacrime" on Amazon in December 2020; Magazzini Salani acquired it and reissued it in 2021, and it became Italy's best-selling book of 2022. "Nel modo in cui cade la neve" (2022), "Stigma" (2023) and "Arcadia" (2024) followed. She stayed anonymous for two years and appeared in public for the first time on RAI's "Che tempo che fa" in May 2023, disclosing only her first name, Matilde. "The Tearsmith" appeared in English in 2024 and was adapted by Netflix.
