Douglas Stone is an American lecturer on law at Harvard Law School and a founder of Triad Consulting Group. A graduate of Brown University and of Harvard Law School, he practised banking law in Boston and New York before returning to Harvard, where he spent more than twenty years with the Harvard Negotiation Project alongside Roger Fisher. With Bruce Patton and Sheila Heen he wrote Difficult Conversations: How to Discuss What Matters Most (1999), translated into more than twenty-five languages, and with Sheila Heen he wrote Thanks for the Feedback: The Science and Art of Receiving Feedback Well (2014).
