She read foreign languages and literature and worked as a translator from English and French before publishing her first novel, La piccola erboristeria di Montmartre, with Mondadori in 2016. It has since appeared in French as La petite herboristerie de Montmartre, and in Dutch, German, Polish and Turkish.
