David Vandermeulen

David Vandermeulen, born 19 December 1968 in Brussels, is a Belgian comics author. He studied at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts and then at the Royal Institute of Art History and Archaeology in Brussels. He became known for Fritz Haber, a multi-volume biography of the German chemist begun in 2005, which won the Prix Chateau de Cheverny in 2008 and the Prix Atomium in 2019. He received the International Toepffer Prize in 2014 and has edited the La Petite Bedetheque des savoirs series since 2016. With Yuval Noah Harari and artist Daniel Casanave he has adapted Sapiens into comics since 2020.
