Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie

Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie is a Nigerian novelist and essayist, born in 1977 in Enugu. She rose to international prominence with Purple Hibiscus (2003), Half of a Yellow Sun (2006), winner of the Orange Prize, and Americanah (2013). She also writes short fiction (The Thing Around Your Neck) and essays that shaped a generation, including We Should All Be Feminists and Dear Ijeawele. Her latest novel, Dream Count, was published in March 2025, her first in more than a decade.
