Brecht Evens is a Belgian Flemish comics artist, born in Hasselt in 1986 and based in Paris since 2013. His watercolour graphic novels, with their dense, colourful pages without speech balloons, have earned international acclaim: The Wrong Place, The Making Of (Les Amateurs), Panther, The City of Belgium (Les Rigoles), Idulfania and The Jellyfish King (Le Roi méduse), published in French by Actes Sud and in English by Drawn & Quarterly.
