American screenwriter, producer and comics writer, born in 1951. With Robert Zemeckis he co-wrote and co-produced the Back to the Future trilogy (1985-1990), after their earlier collaborations on I Wanna Hold Your Hand, Used Cars and 1941. He directed Interstate 60: Episodes of the Road in 2002. In comics he wrote Daredevil for Marvel in 2001, then The Amazing Spider-Man during the 2008 Brand New Day run, took part in DC's Batman: No Man's Land crossover in 1999, and has scripted IDW's Back to the Future series since 2015.
