Anne Mortimer is a British artist known for her paintings of cats and for natural-history illustration. She was elected to the Royal Society of Miniature Painters, Sculptors and Gravers in 1987 and to the Society of Botanical Artists in 1988. In children's books she illustrated the two Tosca picture books written by Matthew Sturgis, Tosca's Christmas and Tosca's Surprise, whose lifelike tabby made them a fixture of Christmas shelves from 1989 onwards.
