Anna DePalo grew up bilingual in Brooklyn in an Italian family, graduated from Harvard and practised intellectual property law before turning to fiction. She writes contemporary romance, mainly for Harlequin's Desire line, and her novels have appeared in more than twenty countries; the French editions come from Harlequin, usually two stories to a volume.
