British author, best known for his Warhammer fiction at Black Library. He wrote the Night Lords trilogy, « Helsreach » and « The Emperor's Gift » for Warhammer 40,000, and « The First Heretic », « Betrayer » and « The Master of Mankind » for the Horus Heresy, several of which reached the New York Times bestseller list. Before turning to novels he wrote roleplaying supplements for White Wolf's World of Darkness, including « The Rage: Forsaken Player's Guide » and « Book of Spirits ». His Warhammer work is usually told from the villains' side.
