
American film producer and comic-book publisher, born in Los Angeles in 1952. She started out in film as a script supervisor in the mid-1970s, then produced In the Mouth of Madness, Village of the Damned, Vampires and Ghosts of Mars, all directed by John Carpenter, whom she married in 1990. She founded Storm King Productions in 1991 and its comics division, Storm King Comics, in 2012, becoming the first woman to found a comic-book publishing house. She edits its annual horror anthology, John Carpenter's Tales for a HalloweeNight.
