Mark Bould is a British scholar of film and literature, Reader in Film and Literature at UWE Bristol, working on science fiction across film, television and print. He founded the journal Science Fiction Film and Television, co-edited Red Planets: Marxism and Science Fiction with China Miéville (Pluto Press, 2009) and Parietal Games with Michelle Reid (Science Fiction Foundation, 2005). His own books include Film Noir: From Berlin to Sin City (2005), Science Fiction: The Routledge Film Guidebook (2012) and The Anthropocene Unconscious: Climate Catastrophe Culture (2021). He received the Science Fiction Research Association's Pilgrim Award in 2016.
