Junius Johnson is an American theologian, teacher and musician, working as an independent scholar. He read English literature at Oral Roberts University and took a doctorate in philosophical theology at Yale. His scholarly books are on Hans Urs von Balthasar, on medieval atonement theory, and on Bonaventure's eucharistic writing, which he has also translated; more recent ones turn to beauty and the imagination, among them The Father of Lights: A Theology of Beauty and On Teaching Fairy Stories. He runs Junius Johnson Academics, through which he teaches courses on the classical and Christian intellectual traditions.
