Neil Clarke is an American science fiction editor and publisher, born in 1966 and based in New Jersey. He launched Clarkesworld Magazine in 2006 and still edits it, founded Wyrm Publishing the following year, and added Forever Magazine in 2015. Since 2016 he has edited the annual anthology The Best Science Fiction of the Year for Night Shade Books. His editing has won the Hugo Award for Best Semiprozine (2010, 2011, 2013) and for Best Editor, Short Form (2022 to 2026), a World Fantasy Special Award in 2014 and the Kate Wilhelm Solstice Award in 2019.
