Ian Edginton is a British comic book writer, best known for steampunk and alternate-history stories drawn by D'Israeli: the pair created Scarlet Traces, a sequel to H. G. Wells's The War of the Worlds, and its own follow-up The Great Game, and later adapted Wells's novel itself. For 2000 AD he has written Leviathan, Stickleback and, with Steve Yeowell, The Red Seas, as well as the serial American Gothic (2005). He has worked for Marvel and DC — on X-Force and the Vertigo series Hinterkind among others — adapted Malorie Blackman's Noughts & Crosses as a graphic novel, and written Kingdom of the Wicked.
