Alexander Armstrong

Alexander Armstrong is a British comedian, presenter and singer, born in Northumberland in 1970. He read English at Trinity College, Cambridge, where he was a choral scholar, and formed the sketch duo Armstrong and Miller with Ben Miller in 1996. Since 2009 he has hosted the BBC quiz Pointless, at first alongside Richard Osman, and since 2014 he has presented programmes on Classic FM. The Pointless books that make up this catalogue — from The 100 Most Pointless Things in the World (2012) to The Bumper Book of Pointless (2016) — were written with Osman. A classically trained bass-baritone, he has also recorded three albums.
