Wilfrid Lupano is a French comics writer, born on 26 September 1971 in Nantes. He took a degree in English after a year of philosophy at the Sorbonne, and came to comics through the bars he worked in as a student. He published “Alim le tanneur” with Virginie Augustin (Delcourt, 2004-2009), then “L'Assassin qu'elle mérite” with Yannick Corboz (Vents d'Ouest), “Le Singe de Hartlepool” with Jérémie Moreau (Delcourt, 2012) and “Un océan d'amour” with Grégory Panaccione (Delcourt, 2014), which won the Prix de la BD Fnac in 2015. Since 2014 he has written “Les Vieux Fourneaux”, drawn by Paul Cauuet for Dargaud and published in English as “The Old Geezers”, along with “Le Loup en slip” with Mayana Itoïz and “Blanc autour” with Stéphane Fert. He co-founded the association The Ink Link in 2016.
