Sophie Tal Men

Sophie Tal Men is the pen name of Sophie Ory, a French novelist and neurologist born in 1980. Her scientific work deals with disturbances of perception and emotion in Parkinson’s disease, and all her novels are published by Albin Michel. She made her debut in 2015 with "Les Yeux couleur de pluie", which follows a medical intern posted to Brest, and continued with "Entre mes doigts coule le sable" (2017) and "De battre la chamade" (2018), the three books forming the story of Marie-Lou. Her later novels are "Qui ne se plante pas ne pousse jamais" (2019), "Va où le vent te berce" (2020), "Là où le bonheur se respire" (2021), "Des matins heureux" (2022), "La promesse d’une île" (2023), "Les cœurs silencieux" (2024), "La tendresse des autres" (2025) and "Malgré tout ce qui nous sépare" (2026). She also writes for children ("La Leçon de Nitch", 2022; "Chocotte", 2024). Her books are set in Brittany and draw on her medical practice.
