Peter B. Gillis

Peter B. Gillis (1952-2024) was an American comic book writer, active mainly at Marvel Comics and First Comics from the late 1970s onward. His first published story appeared in Captain America #224 in 1978, and he went on to write extended runs on The Defenders, Doctor Strange and Micronauts: The New Voyages. With artist Brent Anderson he created Strikeforce: Morituri (1986-1989), a science-fiction series about volunteers granted superhuman powers by a process that kills them within a year. He also scripted Warp for First Comics and Shatter, among the first comics to be drawn entirely on a computer.
