Paul G. Barash, MD (died 8 June 2020) was an American anaesthesiologist and Professor Emeritus of Anesthesiology at the Yale University School of Medicine. He joined the Yale faculty in 1972, became a full professor in 1982, chaired the anaesthesiology department from 1983 and served as associate dean for clinical affairs from 1991. He was the senior editor of the Clinical Anesthesia textbook series and its companion handbook, and published more than three hundred papers, reviews and chapters. After the 1988 earthquake he established an anaesthesiology training programme in Armenia.
