Neige Sinno is a French writer, born in 1977 in the Hautes-Alpes. She completed a doctorate on the short stories of Raymond Carver, Richard Ford and Tobias Wolff in 2005, then lived in Mexico for fourteen years. Her book "Sad Tiger" (P.O.L, 2023; Seven Stories Press, 2025) is a first-person account of the rape she suffered as a child and an inquiry into what literature can and cannot do with such a subject. In France it won the Prix Femina, the Prix Goncourt des lycéens and the Prix littéraire du Monde, and in 2024 the European Strega Prize. Her next book, "La Realidad", appeared in 2025.
