Mike Wolfer

Mike Wolfer is an American comic book writer and artist. Trained at the Kubert School, he entered the field in 1987 by self-publishing the giant-monster title Daikazu under his own Ground Zero Comics banner, then created the horror character Widow, which ran through the 1990s. He became a mainstay of Avatar Press, drawing Warren Ellis's Strange Kiss, co-writing Gravel and writing for the Crossed and Stitched lines, as well as Lady Death and Night of the Living Dead. Since the 2010s he has written authorised Edgar Rice Burroughs adaptations and novels, among them The Land That Time Forgot: Fortress Primeval.
