Miguel Tanco is a Spanish author and illustrator of picture books. Born in Extremadura, he has published more than forty titles, among them You and Me, Me and You (Chronicle Books, 2017) and the two books that followed it, Count on Me (Tundra, 2019) and The Spark in Me (Penguin, 2024). His work has been recognised by the Bologna Children's Book Fair, the Society of Illustrators of Los Angeles and the Ilustrarte biennial. He teaches illustration and runs workshops for children and illustrators across Europe, and lives in Milan.
