Kazumasa Hirai (1938-2015) was a Japanese novelist and science fiction writer, born in Yokosuka and a law graduate of Chuo University. He created 8 Man, one of manga's earliest superhero series, and wrote the long-running Genma Wars saga about a hero with psychokinetic powers. He also wrote Wolf Guy, the story of a werewolf schoolboy, adapted into manga and film — the series this catalogue holds, in its Italian edition.
