John Joseph Adams, born in 1976, is an American editor and anthologist of science fiction, fantasy and horror. He was assistant editor of The Magazine of Fantasy & Science Fiction from 2001 to 2009, and has edited Lightspeed since 2010 and Nightmare since 2012. Since 2015 he has been editor-at-large of the John Joseph Adams Books imprint and series editor of the annual anthology The Best American Science Fiction and Fantasy. His own anthologies include Wastelands: Stories of the Apocalypse, The Living Dead and Out There Screaming. Lightspeed won the Hugo Award for Best Semiprozine in 2014 and 2015.
